Docter Optics Express Glass Services (EGS) specializes in the fast, efficient production of disks, prism and filters as well as blanks cut from bars, blocks, sheets or rods of optical glass, filter glass, synthetic quartz, borosilicate glass or glass ceramic with any desired geometry for prototypes, pre-production runs and small series.
EGS is an authorized Corning distributor. The extensive EGS inventory also includes optical glasses from Schott and Ohara, filter glasses from Schott, borosilicate glasses, B270, synthetic quartz glasses from j-fiber, Tosoh and Heraeus, glass ceramics (e.g., Zerodur from Schott, Clearceram from Ohara) as well as products from other manufacturers of specialty glass.
Special facilities for the production of semi-finished products for small and average-sized components or large formats
Bandsaws make it possible to handle blocks measuring up to 1000 x 1000 mm.
Annular sawing up to a diameter of 200mm.
Five-axis CNC machining for substrates of all types.
