Production Capacity for Automotive Projection Lenses up 7 Million Units.

Docter Optics has again – for the third year in row – significantly increased production capacity for headlight projection lenses. That shows that quality pays off.

The DOC3D molding technology used for the industrial-scale production of aspheres and free-form lenses has made Docter Optics the international benchmark in this area.

And that explains why all well-known headlight manufacturers in Europe, Asia and the US have come to count on Docter Optics for leading-edge technology, reliable delivery and exceptionally efficient logistics.

In 2011, for example, Docter Optics produced well over 20 million projection lenses for automobile headlights. A production capacity for another 7 million lenses will go on line this year to keep up with the growth in demand.
