Today, the design of most projection headlights is still based on the use of round aspheres. As a result, it is not surprising that developers and designers are looking for new possibilities that they can use to create their own visual language.

Close cooperation between Docter Optics development teams and customers now makes it possible to create new solutions that combine the advantages of unique design with the need for advanced optical functionality.

Docter Optics DOC3D^® technology permits virtually complete freedom when it comes to the choice of lens contours and surface geometry. This technology supports the use of lenses with free-form surface geometries or contours that deviate from the basic round shape.

In addition, all optical surfaces can be included in the new lens design. Docter Optics produces projection lenses for full-LED, xenon and halogen headlights. DOC3D^® gives both carmakers and headlight manufacturers virtually complete design freedom.

Docter Optics can also deliver projection lenses with any desired operational functionality, texture and coating.
