Docter Optics has earned a reputation as a reliable source of optical glass components in large quantities in all areas of industry that use such components. In order to meet the different requirements of customers, Docter Optics has organized its activities into four areas, each of which offers customers considerable potential for added value:

• Automotive Solutions is the market leader in the large-scale production of molded aspheres and supplies all major carmakers with free-form lenses for projection headlights (halogen/xenon/LED).
• Precision Glass Components ships high volumes of customer-specific optical components such as aspheres, free-form lenses, lens arrays, light pipes, spheres and mirrors to customers for applications in a wide range of areas, including analytical technology, illumination technology, medical technology and photovoltaic applications.
• Optical Systems is the source of preference for well-known OEMs when it comes to the development, production and assembly of customer-specific optical, optomechanical and optoelectronic subassemblies, e.g., for biometric applications, security technology, medical technology and machine vision.
• Express Glass Services ships custom-produced semi-finished products with very short lead times, e.g., semi-finished products that are as samples or required in limited quantities, and also maintains an extensive inventory of specialty optical glasses as well as synthetic glasses.
