University-Level Training
In cooperation with professional training academies in Gera and Eisenach, Docter Optics offers those who have completed their secondary education a choice of programs that provide an ideal combination of academic training and hands-on practice. The following programs are available:
- Business Administration/Industry leading to Bachelor of Arts (BA) and
- Engineering/Production Technology leading to Bachelor of Engineering (BA)
These three-year, dual-track programs are compactly structured and start in October of each year. Our students alternate between the academic environment and the world of practice, spending 12 weeks at a time at the professional training academy and 12 weeks with Docter Optics. In order to enable them to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, our students are assigned concrete responsibilities within company and work on projects for in selected areas.
The program ends with a bachelor’s project. Working together with a member of the faculty of the professional training academy and the staff of our various technical departments, we help students select a topic that involves enhancement of corporate or production processes and then provide professional support while the project is carried out.
Qualifications for admission:
