Docter Optics produces many different types of aspheric lenses for use in headlights of cars, trucks, busses and motorcycles. Lenses vary not only as a function of physical dimensions and their focal length or back focal length but also according to the markets for which they are produced to meet the different specifications in EU (ECE) or North America (SAE) not only with halogen lamps but also with HID lamps.
Docter Optics has the technology required to mold a single side of projection lenses made of optical glass (DOC2D) or both sides (DOC3D). The DOC3D process permits significantly greater freedom in terms of lens design.
In addition to the production of aspheres according to customer specifications, Docter Optics can offer various other services. For example, Docter Optics can design new lenses, adapt existing designs to new light sources (e.g., LEDs) or provide lenses with interference coatings. These services all represent the state of the art in terms of the type of glass used, the technology employed and quality achieved.
The presses used by Docter Optics for large-scale DOC2D and DOC3D production guarantee short reaction times and meticulous compliance with quality parameter agreed upon with the customers.
